1 Test materials and equipment
The test uses pure metal Zn 99.99%, Al 99.85%, Cu99.90%, Mg 99.80% as raw materials, dry charcoal as covering agent, and industrial ammonium chloride as refining agent. 2 Test process
There are two existing Zinc alloy die casting smelting processes: one is a one-step smelting method of first melting copper and then adding aluminum, zinc and magnesium; the other is a two-step smelting method of pre-melting Al-Cu master alloy and then melting zinc alloy Law. The former is rarely used in production because it must be operated at a high temperature exceeding 1000 °C; although the latter is widely used, it still has the disadvantages of high temperature operation and complicated procedures. For this reason, we analyzed and proposed a new low-temperature direct smelting process for alloys, that is, the required amount of copper is first added to the zinc melt for melting, and then aluminum, magnesium and the remaining zinc are added in turn. This method can overcome the shortcomings of the old technology, and the quality of the alloy ingots produced by the test is completely qualified after testing.
