Aluminum alloy die casting die must have high high temperature strength and tempering stability to obtain high thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance. Using the optimized heat treatment process, no decarbonization, no deformation, optimize the structure and hardness, because the decarbonization and carburization of the mold surface will seriously affect the thermal fatigue strength of the mold, cause early thermal fatigue cracking, reduce the service life of the mold. Vacuum heat treatment can reduce quenching deformation and prevent surface decarbonization or carburization.
Die casting dies will be deformed or twisted when quenched and tempered. Deformation is caused by the stresses in the steel, including thermal stress and tissue transition stress. The die surface treatment can improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the cavity surface by gas nitriding, soft nitriding and ion nitriding.
It is a key step to improve die casting productivity to ensure reasonable cooling of die casting die. Reasonable cooling channels are arranged in each insert block and gate sleeve. If the die casting mold temperature is too low, the casting will form a dirty so-called "pattern" surface; In addition, if the casting reaches a cooling "dangerous" temperature due to low die casting die temperature before the core is extracted, shrinkage cracks will form on hot crack sensitive die casting materials.
